It Started In School
I Was 11
She Was 11
I Was A Boy
She Was A Girl. . .
I Had Long Hair
She Had Short Hair
I Was Fairly Dark And
She Was Fairly Fair. . .
You Should Have Been There
To See My Heart Jump Out
Of My Chest Right Into Her Hands
Everybody Saw It
With Every Card That I Made For Her
And Every Chocolate That I Stole For Her. . .
Until One Day
She Asked Me To Be There For Her
Like A Brother. . .
On Raksha Bandhan
She Tied Me A Rakhi
That's The First Time
I Failed At Love. . .
But I Have Always Failed At Love. . .
I Was 16
And She Was The First Girl
To Tell Me That She Loved Me Back
She Told Me That She Will Love Me
Till The End Of Our Days And Nights. . .
A Few Days Later
Her Days And Nights Came To An End. . .

But As I Said This Had Always Happened. . .
I Was 18 When I Thought
I Met The Love Of My Life
Who Danced The Night Away
At The Other End Of A Club. . .
Where Our Eyes
Met For The First Time
We Didn't Even Speak
A Word To Each Other That Night
But We Both Tried To Find Each Other. . .
Luckily A Few Days Later
We Found Each Other Online
We Swiped And
We Never Wanted To Be Lost Again
I Told Her About
All My Insecurities And Vulnerabilities
And She Told Me That
She Will Keep Them
With Her For As Long As She Can. . .
She Said
Forever Is A Flawed Concept. . .
So One Day
She Came Up To Me
And Handed Me Back All My Secrets. . .
She Said
She Can't Keep Them Anymore. . .
I Knew We Didn't Have Her Forever
But I Had Failed At Love Again. . .
Until A Few Months Ago
I Met You. . . Online
I Sent You A Funny Text
And You Replied With Something Funnier. . .
