One Less Lonely Night Poetry Lyrics

The Night Isn't Over Yet
Wait Back
Let's Watch The Sunrise Together. . .

Wait Back
Because I'm Not Done
Telling You Things About Myself
Things That Aren't Really Related To You Anyhow. . ?
But They Tell Me That You Need To Know About Them. . .

You See. . .
They Are Just Starting To Understand The Difference Between You And Me
So Hear I Am. . .
Standing In Front If You. . .

Asking You To Wait Back A Little Longer
Having My Secrets On My Tounge
That Are Ready To Jump Out Of My Mouth. . .
With Anxiety In My Eyes Working
As A Mic Connected To A Huge Loud Speaker In A Hope That
It'll Reach The Extents Of Your Understanding. . .

Just Give Me A Moment
I Need To Select All The Words Carefully
And Put Them In A Queue And Add Them In A Playlist
Before They Reach Your Ears
You See. . .

No One Likes To Play And Pause It
After Every Couple Of Minutes. . .

Just Wait Back
I Need To Tell You About The Time
My Mother Woke Me Up At 2 Am
Asking Me To Hug Her
Because She Was Missing Being Held

I Need To Tell You
About The Time
I found My Dog's Hair On My Old T-Shirt
And How I Hugged It Crying
Because It Was Probably The Last Memory
He Left Me With When He Died. . .

I Need To Tell You
About All Those Saturday Night-Pajama Parties
I Enjoyed With My Brother. . .
Drinking Rose Milk
Eating Cheap Popcorn
And Gossiping About The Aunty Living Next Door. . .

I Need To Tell You
About The Times
My Nani Kept Scolding Me For Staying Up Late
Not Acknowledging The Tears In My Eyes. . .
And Of All Those Nights
She Poured Her Childhood Out In Front Of Me
And My Instagram Engrossed Self Replied
With Something As Bland As "Mhmm. . .Okay. . ."

And How I Now Post Pictures Of Her
On My Instagram Saying "Rest In Peace Aaji. . ."

I Need To Tell About All The Pills
That Were Almost Eaten
And About All The Google Chrome Pages That Said. . .

"How To Differentiate Between Depression And Sadness. . ?"

I Need To Tell You
About The Weeks I Spent Crying
Still Wanting To Kill Myself
And All The Pages
I Filled In An Attempt Of Writing
The Perfect Suicide Note. . . And
About The Morning After

When I Found That Diary
In My Mother's Trembling Hands. . .

And How She Pulled Me Close
Covered Me With Her Arms. . .
And Told Me. . .
How This Reminded Her Of The Time
She First Held Me After I Was Born. . .

Which Could've Been True
Because I Surely Felt That Way. . .

I Need To Tell You
How Talking To You
Makes Me Realize How Much More. . .

We Need To Talk
And How Much More
You Need To Know. . .

I Need To Tell You
That I'm So Grateful
To Have Your Hand Holding Mine. . .

Because I've Been Cold For So Long
That Your Warmth Helps My Emotions Flow Out With Ease. . .

I Need To Tell You
That I Know You've Better Things To Do In Life. . .

I Know You Probably Have Errands To Run
I Know That I've Held For a Long Time Now
I Know I've Used Too Much Of Your Light. . .

But Here I Am. . .

Still Standing In Front Of You. . .
Asking You To Wait Back A Little Longer
Because See The Night's Almost Over. . .

Come. . .

Let's Watch The Sunrise Together. . .
